A very special and early morning wedding in George, with Nadia and Conrad promising eternal love to each other.
It was my first wedding where we did the First Glance, and I must say it was a very special moment to witness. We don’t always think about it, but usually the couple see each other for the first time when everyone is there and then the Ceremony starts, and everything that comes after that. But you don’t have that moment to just look and appreciate, and for me that is what the First Glace was. They took the moment and it was truly very special.

It was a Norse Polytheism wedding with a touch of some Celtic and Wican elements and they had some special traditions and symbolism which I just had to go look up:
CLOAK THE MEN WORE: It is a tradition from the male ancestors, Conrad gave some of the men one to wear. Each with a unique broach and a small hand crafted symbol on it. Conrad had a little heart from Nadia.
HANDFASTING: The name derives from a strongly symbolic element of the ceremony: the act of tying the hands of the spouses with ribbons. This represents their union and mutual commitment between the couple and the earth. (Quoted by Google)
FREYA (was the name of Nadia’s dress): Is a prominent goddess in Norse Theology, renowned for her association with love, beauty, fertility, and magic.
SKULL ON CONRAD’S JACKET: They are nature lovers and love and appreciate all of nature. the flower design was crochet by Nadia for Conrad.
